How long have you been coming along to the men’s shed?

About 4 years

What do you enjoy spending time doing when you’re here?

I love walking into the shed with a project in mind or  anticipation about the one I have underway.
I am currently upcycling a table top, converting it from square to oval to go on a singer sewing machine base.
I am preparing timber for my next project - a wall hung bathroom vanity.
Having access to the equipment and growing confidence in using it is fabulous. The support and guidance from  blokes with a lifetime of woodworking experience, in particular Peter, John and Steve. with others on hand for a chat or advice.
It's a joy seeing what others are making and talking to them about it.

What one thing would you like people to know about the Armidale Men’s Shed?

A great place to come and do something new.
I love seeing people come in and being encouraged to do the project themselves (if they have the time) rather than having the men’s shed do it for them.

AND A FEW GET-TO-KNOW-YOU QUESTIONS…

Do you have any hobbies?

Gardening, textiles, reading.

Do you collect anything?

Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life?

Susan Sarandon

If money was no object, what would you do all day?

Probably much the same as I do now, but would have better equipment/resources to do it with.

If you could eat only one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I love food, so that question is just too hard.

What's the most unusual or unpleasant thing you've ever eaten?

BBQ fruit bat

And the big question……….

THERE ARE A NUMBER OF CONTENTIOUS TOPICS OF CONVERSATION THAT CAN BRING DISCORD TO THE MOST CIVILIZED OF DISCUSSIONS, ONE OF WHICH IS THE TOPIC OF PINEAPPLE ON PIZZA – YES OR NO?

No to both.
